Peschiera del Garda hotel

The Fornaci Hotel, near Peschiera del Garda, is on the most south-eastern tip of Lake Garda, in the front of the shores of Italy’s biggest lake. Peschiera del Garda is one of the most popular destinations in the area. This active, lively town has many restaurants and pubs.

Surrounded by XVI century walls, the town has a long cycling path that starts in the centre of Peschiera del Garda and reaches Mantua, following the course of the Mincio river. The oldest part of the town is built on a network of canals that flow into the Mincio river. These canals – and the defence walls – are Peschiera del Garda’s distinguishing features, which make it like no other town on the shores of Lake Garda.

The Santuario della Madonna del Frassino [shrine of the Madonna of the ash tree], the historical centre and the walls are worth visiting. In the surrounding areas there are a number of traditional Veneto villas built between the XVI and XVIII centuries, such as Villa Cedri (which also has thermal baths), Villa de Sacco and Villa Miniscalchi, which are surrounded by amazing gardens.

Lake Garda
Just look out of the windows of the Fornaci Hotel onto Lake Garda, go out into the road or go for a walk along the shores of the bay to enjoy the amazing natural environment of this area.

With shores on the regions of Veneto, Lombardy and Trentino Alto-Adige, Lake Garda is sheltered by the Alps in the north. Around the southern part of the lake, in the province of Verona, the landscape’s main features are moraine hills.

The climate is particularly mild here, the days luminous and the waters of the lake a deep blue colour. Coloured Mediterranean plants such as orange and lemon trees, oleanders and bougainvillea thrive here, as well as vines and olive trees, which provide excellent quality wines and oil.

The unusual natural environment, the area’s amazing historical and cultural heritage, the sports and entertainment facilities make Lake Garda an enchanting tourist destination like no other, where everybody can relax.
